Dr Marjorie Seaton is an Honorary Fellow in the Institute for Positive Psychology & Education at the Australian Catholic University. She is a trained teacher, who has had commercial experience both in Australia and overseas. Marjorie has an MA in French and History, a BA (Hons) in Psychology, and a PhD in Educational Psychology. Her awards include an Honours scholarship from Macquarie University for academic excellence, the prestigious Australian Association for Research in Education PhD award for the best Australian PhD thesis in 2009, and an International Self-Concept Enhancement and Learning Facilitation Research Centre Doctoral Award for an outstanding dissertation in the field of Educational Psychology. Her work has been published in highly-ranked refereed journals and influential monographs. Her research interests include gifted and talented education, social comparison, self-concept, anti-bullying interventions, and teacher feedback.
