Thesis: Non-Cognitive Factors as Drivers of Educational Choices During the Post-High School Transition

This thesis looks at the non-cognitive factors (eg motivation, emotional regulation, parent relationships, and social capital) that influence high school to tertiary education transition outcomes, especially how social context shapes aspirations and influences transitional choices. By finding the factors that influence transition choices, it is possible to show what would help disadvantaged youth make choices and reach good outcomes.
